Today's Fashion Fix

Sorry that I have missed the last few days,
I am on quite the job hunt.
Today's post is brought to you by the wonderful Etsy shop French Press Vintage.
So many cute vintage dresses (and most in my size)

I'm going to buy this last one with my tax refund methinks!

Highly recommend this vendor!

Todays Finds!

So, living in McMinnville, OR, there isn't much opportunity in vintage-hunting.
We have a Goodwill, New to You, and St. Vincent de Paul (another thrift store).
However, a new shop opened downtown on third street called Retro Rama.
While they just moved and dont have any dressing rooms at the moment,
I had to trust in my eye to choose a right size.
And I did the impossible: I found a wiggle dress from 1953, that actually fit my body.
It is green, which I LOVE.

A not-so-good picture of me in it. But it fits! :]

I also found these cute little dress gloves for $4.50!

If you live in the McMinnville area, I would highly recommend visiting Retro Rama.
It is on 3rd st and these ladies really love what they do.
Go show them support and get cute vintage items while you're at it!

Weekend Success

My weekend was pretty successful.

It was my best friend's birthday today,
so I made him some cupcakes and took one to him at work.

I also cooked up a pan of delicious chicken for lunches for the week.

And last but not least, I finally achieved victory rolls
in my super thick, fine-stranded hair.

Have a great MLK day all!

In a Mood!

I am in a particularly crafty mood today, unfortunately I do not have the funds, nor items to create the things that I would like. So I suppose I will have to just settle for mounting puzzles as today's project.

Yes. It is missing one piece. BUT, this puzzle was a $1.00 at Goodwill.
And the missing piece is in the middle, creating symmetry.
So it is okay. :]

This too, was a $1.00 from my wonderful, local Goodwill store.
Now I just need to find wonderful frames to custom paint and decorate.

On another note, I hope to paint my cute little double tiered nightstand by week's end.
I'm thinking either a mauve with yellow accent or the teal with white accent.

Art Lover?

I am by no means an "art lover" in the classic sense. All the more reason to consider the pieces that catch my eye even more fantastic than the rest. These are just a few of my favorites.

                                                                    Birth of Man- Dali

                                                     The Temptation of Saint Anthony-Dali

                                                                Broken Column-Kahlo

                                                          What the Water Gave Me-Kahlo

                                                                  Freyja's Castle- Dean

                                                                       Relayer-Dean

In the respect of time, I only chose two apiece. I want these up in my apartment immensely.
